Manhole saw is a heavy-duty skid steer attachment that removes the collar and surrounding area of concrete and asphalt encasing manhole covers. It can reduce the hours required to repair manhole covers to minutes; typically 10-20 minutes in concrete and twice as fast in asphalt.

Manhole repair in a new road: This method is ideal for repairing a manhole in a road reconstruction project.  Cut and remove the manhole frame using a round manhole cutter.  Place a steel plate on the cone.  GPS locate plate and proceed with road construction.  Mark manhole location on new road.  Cut and remove the steel plate and coupon using a round manhole cutter.  Clean and the excavation and prepare the cone for rebuilding.  Rebuild using the liner and specified sealants.  Place the frame and pour concrete to the bottom of the frame.  Place asphalt or concrete to the road surface.
